CEO Chang Hoon Lee, Ph.D. has over 20 years of experience in R&D of biomedicine.
After graduating from Seoul National University in 2002, he received his Ph.D. in immunology from the State University of New York in 2011.
He started his professional career as a senior researcher at NIH located in MA, USA and moved to a principal investigator position at Korean
Research Institute of Chemical Technology, and successfully developed small molecule-based immunotherapeutics against cancer diseases.
As one of the global leaders in the field of immunotherapy, he succeeded in 8 technical transfers of drug candidates at a total size of 2 million (USA), 34 SCI papers, and 40 patents for the last 5 years.
He is acknowledged as one of the leading figures in Korea for R&D of immune-oncology, as being selected as one of the ‘Excellent Scientist
Award,’ awarded by the National Research Council of Science and Technology of Korea in 2019.
In 2021, he started SCBIO and was inaugurated as CEO.
He is trying to grow SCBIO into the best pharmaceutical company in the field of immuno-oncology by non only accelerating the development of new drugs by establishing a research institute, but also strengthening overseas business development and partnering, and licensing-out,
creating a business network with various pharmaceutical and biotech companies and accumulating experiences in business development.
